The room is huge and outstanding and essentials you need, including an electronic key card, coffee/tea makers and a work desk, is right there. The location is incredible, 2 km from Wallace's Heel Well.
The room is extremely basic.

Hotel was spotlessly clean, well-mannered staff.
The room was comfortable quiet and faced the sea.

I had arranged for this visit for myself and my sister in celebration of her 40th birthday. We had a lovely time in Ayr itself and I could not fault the hotel on cleanliness, however, both myself and my sister found the beds to be very uncomfortable and this coupled with a very poor pillow, resulted in very little sleep and, in fact, myself ending up in reception at the ungodly time of 6am. What was further distressing was the attitude of the reception staff when we checked out. After explaining how uncomfortable we were the only response we got was a blank look and a 'oh'. Unfortunately there was no comment cards in order for us to complete a more formal complaint otherwise this would have been done at this time.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Food delicious. Great view of sea.
Unfortunately, the great sea view was hampered by a massive bird poo down two windows which my hubby cleaned. On running the hot tap in the bath, being six floors up took a little time to get the hot water out the tap and when it finally did, it was slow and brown. Had to wait a good while for it to clear. Both toilet roll holders fell out their casings, but not off the wall. However, all in all, it was a nice clean fresh room and ive stayed in worse, believe me. on a final note and one i was a bit disappointed in, in my initial booking email i noted that the reason for our visit was to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary... not even a bottle of wine in the room was left for us...sad !!

Spacious Classic Double Room equipped with a comfortable bed and high-quality linens made for good resting. The central location enables easy access to local pubs and restaurants within a short walk, great to explore effortlessly.
Unfortunately, I encountered a significant issue regarding the promised disabled accessibility shower facilities, which I did not receive despite prior communication. The outdated decor and lingering odours in the hallway were off-putting. The spa area needed serious attention, as it felt dingy and neglected, with poor cleanliness in the shower facilities and missing tiles.

Sports club facilities - gym - free weights and CV areas, plus pool, jacuzzi, sauna
Room surprisingly small, and could do with more than four UHT milks. Otherwise, excellent

I enjoyed my stay with a fantastic view from my room and excellent leisure facilities, perfect for relaxation. There were some issues with noise from the outside that affected my sleep, and the Wi-Fi connection was inconsistent. It's a good option for a short visit, but improvements in sound insulation and Wi-Fi reliability would enhance the experience.

It was my partners birthday, we have stayed here a few times, hotel is close to all amenities, staff are very friendly and helpful, before we arrived I called the hotel to ask if they could decorate our room with banners and balloons which they did, brekfast was good, the only 1 thing I have to say is that there was no hot water in the morning due to the fire alarm being set off the previous night. We stayed in room 665 which had excellent views of the water.

The room was neat, but the noise from the seagulls made it hard to sleep. 😩 The breakfast was plentiful, with fresh pastries and nice options, but it could use better guest information in the rooms.

We liked the helpfulness and willingness of staff to be of assistance. The breakfasts were good and dining was reasonably priced.
